Willkommen auf unserer kleinen Infowebsite zur Hochzeit 🙂.

Das wichtigste zuerst: Bitte sag uns bis spätestens 31. März Bescheid, ob und mit wem du kommst sowie ob ihr Vegetarier seid oder an einer Lebensmittelallergie leidet. Ihr könnt dafür einfach das Formular weiter unten benutzen.

Aufgrund des internationalen Charakters unserer Ehe gibt es diese Website sowohl auf Deutsch also auch auf Englisch. Falls du neugierig bist, was die andere Seite des Ärmelkanals zu sehen bekommt, kannst du die Sprache mit den Links ganz oben auf der Seite umschalten 🙂.

Wann und Wo

Unsere Trauung findet am 06.07.2019 um 15:00 im Winzermuseum Rauenberg statt.

Danach ziehen wir weiter zum Weingut Ihle, wo es einen Sektempfang gibt und wir uns etwas Zeit nehmen wollen, um Bilder mit euch zu machen. Dann wird erstmal fleißig gegessen und noch ausgiebig gefeiert bis uns die Puste ausgeht 🙂. Wenn das Wetter mitspielt, feiern wir unter freiem Himmel ☀️, ansonsten geht's ins Festzelt 🎪.

💐 We’re tying the knot! 🎉

Welcome to our wedding website 🙂. We can't wait to see you in July and to be able to introduce you to our German family and friends. Seeing as we are a modern, young, intercultural couple, we have set up this website to help you out with a few organisational matters – in German and in English 😉. You can check out what we are telling our German friends via the links at the very top of the page.

Please use the RSPV form below to let us know if you are coming and if you have any dietary requirements or anything else that we need to know about. We ask that you RSPV by 31st March so that we can plan accordingly 🙂.

The important details

Our ceremony will take place in the lovely courtyard of the historic Winzermuseum Rauenberg on the 6th of July at 3:00 pm. At 4:00 pm, we will head over to the local vineyard Weingut Ihle for a celebratory toast and where we would also like to take a few photos with you. Afterwards, we will have dinner and then dance the night away.

For anyone wondering what the Winzermusuem is, it is a small, locally-run museum documenting the historic way of life in the local wine region. If you want to take a look inside, it should be open on Sunday the 07.07.2019.

The greatest gift you could give us is to join us in celebrating our special day with plenty of smiles and flashy dance moves. However, if you really want to gift us a little something, we would appreciate a small donation and a card.

Arriving by plane and train

The nearest largest airport is Frankfurt am Main (55 min drive), which will probably offer the best selection of airlines. Alternatively, you can fly into Stuttgart Airport (approx. 1 hour drive). Both airports have car rental services that you can book either online in advance or directly upon arrival.

Getting the train

If you are staying in Rauenberg, Dielheim, Mühlhausen, Walldorf or Wiesloch, the nearest train station is Wiesloch-Walldorf. For hotels in Bad Schönborn, get the train to Bad Schönborn-Kronau.
Trains from Frankfurt Airport: train connections from Frankfurt Airport will require you to change at Mannheim Central Station (Mannheim Hauptbahnhof), and take roughly 1 hour.
Trains from Stuttgart Airport: we recommend booking the train connection Stuttgart Airport to either Wiesloch-Walldorf or Bad Schönborn-Kronau, changing at Stuttgart Central Station (Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof).

Train tickets can be purchased in advance (check up to two weeks beforehand for deals) on the Deutsche Bahn website.

The simplest way to get from either station to your hotel is via taxi: +49(0)7253 94094 (from Bad Schönborn-Kronau) and +49(0)6222 307740 (from Wiesloch-Walldorf). Feel free to get in touch if you need any help booking travel or accommodation!

Things to see & do

The Baroque style historic town of Heidelberg is 15 km away and well worth a day trip. The picturesque old city centre and Heidelberg Palace are well worth taking a look at. See also the Heidelberg Tourist Infomation website for further sightseeing ideas.

Other local attractions include: Technik Musuem Sinsheim, Spa in Bad Schönborn, the city of Speyer (Speyer Cathedral, Jewish heritage, old city gates, historic fish market and the Old Mint), and the city of Karlsruhe (great for shopping, huge zoo). All are within easy driving distance and easily reachable via train.
